Stobrec, Croatia

Stobrec, situated on a small peninsula and at the mouth of the Zrnovnica river, has become one of Eastern Split's suburbs.

That ancient Greek colony named Epetion transformed into an agreeable tourist destination for those searching for sport (there is a tennis center, and a golf terrain is next to the river Zrnovnica) and fun at one place.

In addition, the vicinity of Split (just 7 kms from the city center) guarantees a lot of fun and culture.

In Stobrec, there are beaches for all tastes, sandy in the town's center and rocky ones in the southwest with the parts for naturists (the wild one).

The small HARBOR

The harbor is shallow but well protected from winds by a small breakwater with a depth of 3 m. When there are no fishing boats you can berth there, because the pier is mostly occupied. However, in the summer, there are more anchorages on the other side of Stobrec's bay in Strozanac harbor.

Besides the nicely situated camping, there are a couple of family hotels and a lot of private apartments and rooms for lending.***

A large number of restaurants offer various choices of cuisine for all tastes and pockets, also there is a large market in the city center.

Surrounded by middle dalmatian islands (Hvar, Brac, Solta, Vis), the mountain Mosor and by the canyon of Zrnovnica and Cetina, Stobrec is an ideal spot for excursions depart.
