Stanici, Croatia

Stanici Stanici was a small fishing village that transformed into a charming tourist destination of Omis Riviera.

The original old village that consists of ten traditional stone houses is located 300 meters from the sea.

After the building of the “Magistral” in the 1960's and the development of tourism Stanici moved from “old Stanici” to the new settlement built by the sea, in the bay of Velika Luka.

Stanici is nowadays known for its beautiful pebble beaches, peace and blue crystalline sea.

The most popular beaches as those of Rape, Zavode, Tice are only accessible by foot.

The main beach Velika Luka with pine trees is accessible by car and suitable for children. However, it is always possible to find in the proximity small intimate coves and some calm, isolated coins.

The steep slopes of Omiška Dinara mountain that looms over the village offer a stunning view as well as full comfort in the newly built houses, villas, private pensions and apartments for rent.

In Stanici everything is a walking distance away : restaurants, cafés, post office, groceries stores and a bus station with a telephone booth.

The local tourist agency books boat trips from nearby Mimice and Omis to Brac, Hvar, river Cetina etc.

The promenade enthusiasts could hike up to the ancient village of Stanici and join the old macadam route that leads to Pisak in the east and to Omis if you go west.

Being located next to towns like Omis, Split and Makarska, the mountains Omiska Dinara, Mosor, Biokovo and the river of Cetina with its gorges, Stanici offers numerous possibilities for those searching different activities, cultural visits and night life elsewhere.
